I created a page just so we have a marker called ABOVE IS CHECKED
Before we build anything else, I want to make sure every single page we’ve build so bar is perfect. That means reading every letter, word, punctuation. Then checking it on mobile to make sure it looks good. Making sure all the buttons work. I found plenty of mistakes on the very first page I did, and that was duplicated a few times so I know there will be more.
> Checked buttons, spelling (has to be triple checked still) and mobile responsivenessPages with pricing. I sent you a video about this. It only needs to be done for Nov 28th, Feb 18th, Nov 1st, 2023, Dec 16th. It doesn’t need to be done for Nov 1st 2022 because there are only like 2 beds left so let them email. It doesn’t need to done for ATG OV.
> Added the pages, please check the prices because the sale prices in the sheets are inconsistentThe blog sucks to do. I just needed to put that out there.
Right now, the most important thing is quadruple checking every page to make sure it’s flawless. Then, we can continue to build casually once we know we have what we’ve done is all good.
Should we make an ATG Team Page for us only? Something we can use to communicate things, leave important information? Like sometimes I make deals, or discounts or something weird everyone should know about. Maybe make a little diary for us?
> We could do it, or also use slack/discord/trello if you prefer. it would make it better to communicate on cell phone too and not just on desktopGo look at my Nov 1st page. There are a few changes to some working. Maybe just copy and paste text?
> I found them around the Pricing area. i changed on all pages. was there anything else?
I can’t believe we got this built like this in less than a week
> You did most of the building blocks! lol
> I did a lot of checking and fixing small issues.
> anyway, thanks to squarespace too, because we can both work at the same time, and in like 10% of the time it would be if codedI also want you to take a moment to go through all the settings on the left. Also, I need to make a photo for social media like you did for Musgrove when the link is shared.
> i added a social media sharing photo. i don’t know if it’s one for the entire website or if we’ll need to add one for each individual page. we’ll know once it’s live lolI ordered a new logo on Fiverr that is much more simple. Will upload it when I get it.
> okkkk let me know, and e-mail it to me too so i can find it when i needI love you.
> love you too <3Don’t forget about Facebook email collecting.
Get all group trip pages
Make a page for ATG charter
Template > one for each trip
Look into e-mail campaings and sending e-mail confirmation to those who subscribe
Create e-mail segments
Marketing -> Email Campaings and then follow the promt
I want a password protected "members only section" where people can log in and get information for those who have booked with us.
Fix the reviews > DONE
the reviews section looks good on desktop but fucked on mobile. > DONE, I ADDED AN IDEA, NEEDS REVIEWING
Find a trip > form > https://www.antarcticatravelgroup.com/pages/findatrip > DONE
FAQS > accordion > DONE!! Just needs to be checked if it has everything
Buttons don’t work > FIXED, NEEDS CHECKING IF I GOT THEM ALL
Added 7/17/2022
I haven’t gone through all the forms yet, but double check options offered and our allocation. Nov 1st, 2023 says waitlist on F, but we have a new allocation. Also Feb 18th, F is on waitlist. I can run it through quick with you if you need. Also, camping is now $350 across the board, not 295
> Fixed form and trip page for Nov1st23 with new allocation. I fixed the prices and and the form with FULL RETAIL PRICE, or can i put the ATG discount price?
> Fixed the camping prices where I saw, might need to double check if they got all fixed
> For SEO i had changed some link names and descriptions so i re-checked all buttons for the individual group trips. Some had the old links, so I got them all fixed now.
> When the site goes live, we should to re-check if they are all linked properlyReally nice job with the forms otherwise.
> TY TY <3> Checked all buttons to navigate to the proper form, and tested all forms to see if they’re syncing properly to google sheets
> Now all forms will be sent to info@antarcticatravelgroup.com, check if you received a copy. i filled each one to test.> Added a form for reviews. I changed the review page a bit too, check if you prefer. And send me other reviews so I can add to the page.
I’m realizing that I can’t link a button to a very specific blog within the page. I’ll have to link to “website URL” and link the blog. I think it’ll work the same.
> Yeah, i noticed that too… i wanted to link the south georgia post to South Georgia group trips, but you can only link the main blog page. We’ll probably be able to link the url when it’s posted. But they’re still as Draft for meButtons look great. Keep getting those updated.
> TY! I check them all the time and there’s always buttons to be fixed lololI think the ATG Dec 7th charter trip page is done…at least for now. Now it needs a sign up form.
> Done and synced!
> Also, please check what I sent you about the PS position in the page. There are so many typos I’m finding. Just a pain to chase them down.
> Yes, i’m looking for them too, but some are hard to find because they are actual words (like i just found a “two win beds” instead of twin, but win exists so sometimes we don’t notice)
Members only section is still in the brainstorm process. I will think more about what I want there. Albatros has a 17 page welcome packet. I think it’ll cherry pick a lot of the information there and make a OV trip specific FAQ accordion.
I would like a very professional looking footer. I don’t know what that means. But our footer looked nakedish
> i don’t like the footer either. Let’s look for some examples in other pages
> i added the subscribe to newsletter but i don’t like the way it looks because it’s too huge. and i hate the captcha button. but squarecespace wants the captcha :(The store can come later. I just want to get the site up and shareable so we can continue promoting and selling trip. I’ll put the store as “Coming soon” and we’ll work on it. Once we have the site up and going…it’ll then just become one small project at a time. Right now I feel like I’m jumping all over the place haha.
> next steps:
- email campaing
- store
- blog postsBlog are a dick to write. I hate it. But I’ll get some up
> don’t worry too much, blog posts are good for SEO because they keep the site active. it’s not like you need 1000 posts now, but post them now and then so search engines notice that you’re feeding the site and it’s activeCan you figure out why we still can’t use the blocks on the musgrove site? I need to make some changes and now I’m spoiled with blocks.
> could it be that i chose a template that is not compatible? because there’s many versions of squarespace, and i started by picking a template. i might have chosen the wrong one then :(
> but if you want to list the things that you want fixed i can work on themI will recruit 10 website testers on Tuesday or Wed who will email us everything they find and their feedback then make the changes.
> nice!
